Picosecond laser is a new type of laser technology that has attracted much attention in the field of medical cosmetology in recent years. One of its main uses is for the removal of skin pigmentation, blemishes, tattoos and eyebrow tattoos. Compared with traditional laser technology, picosecond laser pulse time is shorter and can break pigment particles more accurately without damaging surrounding tissue. Therefore, it also shows potential application in the treatment of pigmented skin diseases such as melanoma and nevus of Ohta.
In addition, picosecond laser machine are used to treat skin aging, scar repair, and uneven skin surfaces. Its high-energy pulses promote the regeneration of collagen and elastin, improving skin firmness and elasticity. When it comes to treating scars and uneven skin, the rapid pulses of picosecond lasers can promote the repair of damaged tissue and help restore the smoothness of the skin surface.
Picosecond Laser Technology is mainly used for removing tattoo and different pigmentations on skin. The instant high energy of ND: YAG can break pigmentation particles into smaller pieces, then these pieces will be drained out from body through metabolism. After some days, the pigmentation can disappear, thus removal of different speckles, birthmarks, tattoos can be realized.
Clean the treatment area. Remove the hair on treatment area.
Apply anesthetic ointment if needed.
Disinfect skin on treatment area.
The patient shall wear eyeshade and the operator shall wear protective glasses during treatment;
Adjust parameters for treatment. You can refer to suggested parameters shown in tables;
It is advised that no breaking skin or blood oozing occurs during speckles/freckles removal treatment. This will help to minimize the risk of pigmentation. Add treatment times if needed.
To accelerate skin heal/repair after treatment, patients can apply medical masks and medicines for skin repair.
Physical sunscreen (such as wearing a mask or taking sun umbrella while going out) shall be conducted after treatment.
The treatment is usually performed with an interval of about one month. Recommended times for treatment is listed in parameter table. Doctors shall determine whether to add treatment times according to patient’s recovery.
1. Check patient's treatment records and ask patient's contraindications.
2. There are six SKIN TYPES. Patients with SKIN TYPEⅠand Ⅱ can usually accept treatment, and the energy can be adjusted within a large scope; for SKIN TYPE Ⅳ, pigmentation is easy to appear, thus low energy is needed; while the machine shall be operated much more carefully on patients with SKIN TYPEⅤand Ⅵ.

Skin Care Before Treatment
1. Sun protection is needed before treatment. Skin recently exposed to sunlight cannot accept hair removal treatment until it is recovered.
2. Keep moisturizing for your skin. laser may cause stimulation to skin, thus moisturized skin is better for recovery after treatment.
3. Pay attention to diet. Avoid foods (such as seafood, spicy foods, etc) that will cause skin irritation/allergy.
4. Patients sensitive to pain can take pain killers or apply anesthesia ointment before treatment.
1. Patient may feel slight pain (tolerable) during treatment. Apply anaesthetic ointment if needed.
2. During treatment, doctor/operator shall wear protective glasses and patient shall wear eyeshade.
3. Slight pain may occur during treatment. If patient has other uncomfortable reactions, please tell the doctor/operator immediately.
4. Scar or bleeding may occur on skin after treatment.
1.To prevent inflammation caused by wounded skin, please avoid water for 24-48 hours after treatment.
2.Avoid sunlight within 7-14 days after treatment.
3.Pay attention to diet within 7 days after treatment. Avoid foods (such as seafood, spicy foods, etc) that will cause skin irritation/allergy.
4.Within 7-14 days after treatment, please apply some products for skin repair and preventing pigmentation.
5.Take anti-allergic medicine if allergic reactions appear. If allergic reaction appears for only one time, it cannot be determined that the allergic reaction is caused by laser. And the patient can continue to try to accept treatment. If it is determined that the patient is allergic to laser, then the patient shall keep away from these machines.
